Mariana Cavalheiro Magri is a Ph.D. and a Scientific Researcher at the Laboratory of Viral Hepatology (LIM-47), Clinical Hospital, School of Medicine, University of Sao Paulo (HCFMUSP) since 2012. She is dedicated to the research in the areas of Immunology, Virology and Molecular Epidemiology, with emphasis on the study of viral hepatitis (HBV, HCV and HEV), Human Retroviruses (HIV and HTLV-1/2) and HHV-8 infections, and research of single nucleotide polymorphisms of the human genome. She also works in the development, standardization and implementation of Molecular Biology techniques. Received six awards and participated in International Cooperation Projects.

Dr. Khaled Elshaar, MBBCH, MS, MD, MRCSEng, Egyptian Consultant General and Colo-Rectal surgery with special interests in Laparoscopic and trauma Surgery, graduated in 1995 from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt. His Magister, MS, and Doctorate MD, were in the field of Colo-Rectal Surgery. Worked for few years in the Alexandria University Hospitals, Egypt, moved after that to Saudi Arabia where he is working as a Consultant Surgeon in King Fahd Central Hospital Jazan, since 2004 till date. He is a member of EAES and Egyptian society of colorectal surgery. Had published his researches in the field of GIT surgery, and currently, working on rare cases reports to be published.

Mahmoud F. Elsebai has awarded his PhD in 2011 from Bonn University, Germany, in the field of chemistry and biology of marine natural products. During 2012–2014 he had two postdoctoral fellowships in Finland (University of Oulu) and in France (University of Nice Sophia Antipolis). He has a record number of publications from his PhD dissertation in the field of marine drugs. He has also discovered potential and safe drugs against hepatitis C virus which is a worldwide crisis specially in Egypt. These results were applied for patenting and published in Q1 journals. He has published more than 25 articles in reputed journals and serving as an editorial board member and reviewer of many international journals such as J Natural Products, J Ethnopharmacology, Phytochemistry Reviews, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, Pharmaceutics (MDPI), etc. He is a Visiting Professor at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacognosy, Tanzania. He has and still supervising and guiding many Master`s and PhD students in Egypt. Dr Elsebai has delivered many oral talks in international and national conferences and got the best oral presentation in Sweden/2011, granted by "Phytochemical Society of Europe (PSE)".

Fatma Amer is the past head of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Zagazig Faculty of Medicne, Egypt and the past president of the Arab Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antimicrobials. Currently she is emeritus professor in the same university, the president of Hepatitis Working Group/International Society of Chemotherapy and Infection and is a board member of the International Society for Infectious Diseases. She supervised and evaluated many MSc and PhD theses, and is a reviewer of manuscripts submitted for journals, conferences and international awards. She published numerous articles. She was the first to introduce automated Microbiology Service in her university. She participated in the establishment of the Molecular Biology Unit and introduced an MSc degree in Infection Control at her faculty. She developed two volumes of Infection Control books; the first of their kind in Egypt. She participated in conferences all over the world as organizer, chairperson and speaker.

Dr. Georgios Tsoulfas received his medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, as well as a transplant research fellowship at the Starzl Transplant Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. He then completed a two-year transplantation surgery fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and then joined the Division of Solid Organ Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center as an Associate Professor of Surgery. He has currently moved back to Greece, where he is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki. He has published over 80 papers in peer-reviewed Journals and in PubMed, as well as 29 book chapters. He has edited 4 books and is a reviewer for 25 International Journal and on the Editorial Board of several others.
